Dear M. Bigelow:
I am researching a Jane Blakey who was my great great grandmother. She was married to William Blakey and they had a son named Billy. William was killed as a young man when he tried to jump on the side of a moving train and fell underneath the train and was crushed. I don't know when that was but Jane was a young woman and she remarried William Cartwright. From that marriage, my great grandmother Elizabeth Marion Cartwright was born in 11-16-1891. Elizabeth had one child with Clarence Lyall O'Hara (no marriage) and her name was Margaret Eleanor Cartwright. She was born in California, Pennsylvania, on 7-27-1911. Elizabeth later married John Elekonich, an Austrian immigrant, and they moved with Margaret to Battle Creek, Michigan. Margaret married Donald Victor Rowe in July 1929 and they had four children, three sons and one daughter (my mother). Does this sound familiar to anyone? Elizabeth died May 1971 and Margaret died December 1991 and they both told me as a girl that Elizabeth is a direct descendant of Rev. Peter Cartwright. Also, Clarence O'Hara is a grandson of Cartwrights. Any hints or clues are much appreciated. Thank you!
