As you can see by my posts, my issues were with the messy Blakey and Gatewood lines - i posted the info from that book in hopes of starting a discussion on any part of it - I am descended from Martin Nalle, Daniel Brown, Robert Coleman, John Gatewood, Richard Kemp, Richard Tyler, Thomas Barbour, Joseph Thomas down to Sarah Elenora Barbour who married Garrett Scott. The Gatewood and Blakey lines have some disputed parentage, as does Joseph Thomas. I also have questions about Richard Kemp, husband of Eleanor Willis and father of Rachel who married Richard Gatewood. There is little on anyone besides Matthew Kemp.
The Smith info you presented I have - as they are in my direct line, but since my father is a Scott, my more immediate effort has been to work on his line to find where John Scott came from in 1726 with at least Johnny and Thomas Scott.
Would be glad to help on any areas we overlap and compare info - fear cannot help on Smith DNA. Lyn
