My grandmother was the daughter of Henry Norman Blakeslee, he was the son of Emmons Blakeslee, the son of Lyman Blakeslee and Mable Tremain. I seem to have a problem with the children of Lyman. I have a very old book of my family, and it shows Emmons, my ggreat grandfather, with siblings: Cap, Nell (married Charles Travis), Charles Emmons (married Frances Travis), Mable, Daniel and May (married name Harper. Emmons was born in Madison Co., NY, and I believe the other were born in Medina Township, Ohio.
Emmons Blakeslee and wife, Sarah Louisa Webber were among the first families in Ohio, where my great grandfather was born in Westfield, Medina Co., Ohio. They later moved to Clinton Co., Michigan where my grandmother, Bertha Louisa Blakeslee was born. If anyone can help me I would so appreciate it. I have never found any info on Emmons. My family is Samuel, Ebenezer, Thomas, David, Eli, Lyman, Emmons, Henry Norman and Bertha Louisa. Any information that can be provided will certainly be appreciated.
