I have found a nice portrait of Clara Blakeslee in an antique shop in Columbus, Ohio. There were Blakeslees in my family history, non-relatives, but they went to Ohio in about 1836. Clara might have married into the family. I couldn't leave here there. So- if your line is Arthur Blakeslee or Grace Denzler, email me privately for Clara's photo! And anyone else reading this: my 2-great grandparents were Rev. John Stout and Tryphena REASONER, who traveled with the BLAKESLEE family on a flatboat to missionary stations in Ohio (the Blakeslees) and Illinois (the Reasoners). Their letters do not mention given names, except for the toddler BLAKESLEE son, William Cone Blakeslee. They were missionaries for the Presbyterian/Congregational church home missions efforts. I have some VERY interesting letters about their trip and would love to share those with interested Blakeslee descendents!! ==Marjorie Wilser Notify Administrator about this message?
