Erva Y. (Hochstetler) Blaker Obit
MORENCI — Erva Blaker, 83, of Morenci passed away Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, in Perrysburg, Ohio.
She was born Feb. 28, 1924, in Fayette, Ohio, the daughter of Glenn and Emma (Seiler) Hochstetler. On Oct. 22, 1943, in Fayette, Ohio, she married Duane Blaker. He preceded her in death in 1993.
Erva graduated from Fayette High School and was a member of Morenci First Baptist Church. She retired from Sheraton Manufacturing in Wauseon, Ohio, after 30 years of service.
Surviving Erva are three daughters, Janet Blaker of Lansing, Nancy (Jerome) Sullivan of Plymouth and Diane (Paul) Lunde of Maumee, Ohio; two sisters, Virge Fether of Fayette, Ohio, and Arlean Felger of Alvordton, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Amy Sullivan of Washington, D.C., and Kathleen (Kwasi Mitchell) Sullivan of Arlington, Va.
Besides her husband, Duane, Erva was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Gaylord and LeRoy Hochstetler.
Funeral service will be Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at 1 p.m. at the Morenci First Baptist Church with the Rev. Hal Mills officiating. Interment will follow in Tedrow Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Wednesday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci.
