Thank you for the information. I did not have a parental family for this Hugh Blakeney.
Hugh's wife, Temperance Rushing (1816-1841), was the daughter of Stephen Rushing. Hugh Blakeney is mentioned as "son-in-law" in Stephen's will which was filed in Sumter Co., AL. Maybe this will help someone else.
