Since you are a Blakeney descendant, I am hoping that you can help me straighten out some of the information that I've collected from various sources. My records show that William Blakeney b. 1763 (son of John and Margaret) married Mary Jackson b. ca 1767 (dau. of Benjamin and Mary Rushing Jackson). The only children I have listed for them are John Blakeney who married Mary Lucy; Mary Blakeney; William Blakeney who married Leah Shehorn; and Thomas Blakeney who married Sarah Roberts. If I understood your post correctly, the Hugh Blakeney who went to Sumter Co., AL is another son. Can you tell me something about him such as the dates of his life and who he married?
