Dear Gary, I have a Thomas Blakeney listed in my family. His daughter Jane married a Cadwallder Lucy. My cousin found the information at the library in Nashville after attending the genealogy workshop. Papers stated she had given Thomas D. Lucy, her son,(my line to his daughter, Martha, who married Thomas Ford in Lauderdale Co. Ms.)power of attorney to go to Montgomery Co. Tenn. to settle her part of her Father's will. She was living in Marengo Co. Al. Cadwaller Lucy is listed as being born in S.C. Also, she sent the papers on the slave being given land etc. 1820 census, Montgomery co. Tenn has Thomas Blakeney as having 3 males0-10- 2 males10-16.1 male26-45. 1 male 45 and up. 1 female 26-45- 1 female 45 and up.We haven't found a record of who Thomas Blakeney married. Could he be connected with the Capt. John Blakeney? If so,how can I prove it? Sincerely, Ruth M. Scruggs
