Lucille,

My great-great grandmother was Elizabth "Betty" Benison, born in 1827 in Smith County, Mississippi. She married first, Jackson Benison, then Emmanuel Ainsworth.
The best I can find is that she may have been the daughter of John Jack Blakeney, son of John Jr.. But, I have not been able to find her positively in the family of anyone in the Smith County Census forms. The first I can find her is with Jackson in the 1850 census, with daughter Margaret.
Can anyone furnish proof for me, that I am correct in assuming that she was indeed the daughter of John Jack Blakeney. Thank you so much.
Richard Smith
