Hey, Gary, don't worry about the living information.I don't worry about it.So someone learned that I am the child of chester, and grandchild of Isaac? Is there any harm in that?It surprised me the first time I went to the LDS genealogy library in Salt Lake City and was playing around.I put in one of my anscestors names and there was a pedigree in livingcolor. So exciting. Then I clicked on descendants, and eagerly started reading about people I knew... but to my surprise, my grandparents, my mother and aunts were all listed as LIVING, no names just LIVING with birthdates and places. It was kind of a bummer to me.I wanted to see my family names in there. LOL.
I personally have no problem with giving the names and dates of living people, but I understand other people do.So I guess when I post information, I'll be careful about that.I guess in emailing, I could include the names of living. For sure I don't want addresses or phone numbers given out on bullitin boards. But other than that, if I have information someone is looking for, I'm quite willing for them to contact me.
I wonder what others think on this subject?????
Kathy
