This may not be of much help but I am related to Blakeney's in Rhode Island. My g aunt married a Francis M. Blakeney of Providence, Rhode Island. He was owner of the Watchemoket Optical Company. Earliest record I have of him is 1920. I am searching the Paynter family and that is the connection.
