We are seeking genealogical information on the Irish BLAKENEY family line. Our earliest Blakeney that we've been able to trace is a THOMAS R. BLAKENEY SR., born in 1844 in Dublin, Ireland.

Thomas emigrated to the USA in the 1850s, fought in the Civil War, married HELEN MURRAY and had three children: John William Blakeney Sr. (b. 1869); Thomas R. Blakeney Jr. (b. abt. 1876); and Margaret Blakeney (b. abt. 1877). All three children seem to have been born in Massachusetts, where all of our living Blakeneys still reside.

If you have any knowledge of Thomas R. Blakeney Sr., and/or his Irish descendants, please contact us. We're quite willing to share whatever information we have on the Blakeneys as well.
