John A. Blakeney (b.1834 d.Aug.6,1921) Don't know where he was born but have been told he came from Virginia and moved to Murray,Ia. in 1864. His son is Joseph Labin Blakeney (b.Apr.13,1863 d. May 27,1932) also had a son named Finley. Joseph married Cora Jane Brisben 1902. They had 3 childern: Edna, Maurice,and Marvin Richard. I also have a photo of a Willam Blakeney- don't know how he fits in- may be brother to Finley & Joseph?- He's very handsome, looks like a Mississippi Riverboat Gambler! By far the best looking of the old family photos I have. I am the granddaughter of Marvin who married Anne Foster of Gillespie, Ill.in 1929 If anyone is related or can tell me more please contact me. Any help would be appreciated as I have no info from Va. Thanks
