Connie, have not been on this site for awhile. Just realized you gave the children of Caleb Willis and Sarah Cantrell, thank you so much. When you look at the Mero Ct. minutes, see Volume C [1817-1820] page 55 and page 74. The children of Capt John attempted to eject Rueben Payne from the land left by John's Will to Cinderella Hudson. Sadly, no one can tell me where the loose papers for these old lawsuits are. In Smith Co.Tn ,a lawsuit involving the estate of Lucy Carter Blakemore's son Charles Carter, reveals that Lucy left Davidson Co and moved to Station Camp Creek in Sumner Co, Tn in Oct 1794, and Cinderella was born in the spring of 1795 in Davidson. Lucy died in 1796/97, perhaps that is why the court quashed the actions. In Fayette Co, KY 21 Jun 1814, is a Deed of sale by Jesse Hudson son of Rueben Hudson HEIRS by Will of Jesse Hudson of Davidson Co, TN. Land sold to George Blackmore and Geo. Hall of Sumner Co, Tn. When the legal heirs of Capt John Blakemore sold his Loyal Company Land grant of 1775, in Russell Co, VA in 1812, Cinderella Hudson was not an heir, but this instrument shows who Capt John's children were. . regards, Margie Brown
