You know that William Blakeley Jr.'s father was probably the same name. My ggg grandfather was Francis Blakeley b. 24 December 1770 possibly NY, d. 31 October 1857 in Jelloway, Knox Co., OH. He lived in Washington Co., PA prior to spring 1805 and prior to that is alleged to have NY connections. In the 1790 NY Census there is a Francis Bickeney. Francis Blakeley had an older brother William which had at least three children John, Charles and Sarah. Little is known about his whereabouts except he may have resided in NY, New England or MD. William possibly had a brother John who eventually resided in Morrow Co. OH. During the period 1770-1804 I suspect Francis was a farmer who could not read or write and very likely indentured for most of that period.
