Dear Kimberly, I'm so very sorry to hear you've been sick! I'm also very glad though to hear you're enjoying our conversations. I'm enjoying them too. I hate to tell you this, but Charles and I are going to be communicating offline. It's not that we're not willing to share information. Working offline is something most experienced genealogists do, and it's done for purposes of protecting family history. You never know who's going to read what you've put on the net, and what they'll do with it. Many people will report what's clearly stated as a possibilty, as a fact. A dozen other people will pick it up, pass it on, and once it's spread all over the net, it's impossible to stop it from continuing to spread. There are also people who'll take several paragraphs of someone else's work, include it verbatim in a family history they're printing, or publishing, and do it without permission, or even so such much as a footnote to identify the actual author/s, then sell it! I know several very good genealogists who've gone back, and taken off the net everything they ever put on it. It's that bad. I will keep communicating with you though. I just won't be speculating on things on the net. Always, Lynn Notify Administrator about this message?
