I failed to mention that Arkadelphia is the county seat of Clark Co. AR. A William Blakely reportedly bought the land in 1828 where the court house is now located from the government. Clark Co. was one of the first five counties in Arkansas, and is located between Texarkana and Little Rock just off I-30.
