I hope this helps, I just found this information this week:

Shelbyana July 1980 No. 4 has will abstracts and states:
"Bk 5, Pg 82. 26 Mar 1842 Jane Blakely, 14 yrs. and Sarah Blakely, 12 yrs, chose Samuel Blakely as their guardian. Said Samuel Blakely appointed guardin to Wm. J. Blakely, 10 yrs, Bennet Blakely, 9 yrs, Robert Blakely, 7 yrs, Charles Blakely, 5 yrs, children of Robert Blakely, dec'd. Bond $4,000 Jacob Slusser nd Jacob Wagner, Secrities."
Another abstract has:
"Pg 63 Robert Blakely 10 Nov 1841 15 Nov 1841 (A-259)
"My several children to receive inheritance when each boy becomes 21 and each girl becomes 18 ... John Lenox, Executor.
Wit: Nehemiah Bennett
Samuel Blakely /s/Robert Blakely"

Note the "bennett" name. I'm sure it is no coincedence.
