Hi! I am looking for any information on my maternal g'g grandfather JOEL BLAKELY. Joel was born about 1805 in KY or TN and married Elizabeth McKay, born about 1810 in TN. They married about 1830. The Aug. 19, 1870 Sullivan Co., MO census, # 69 lists him as Joel Blakey, a farmer. Joel died in 1873 and Elizabeth in 1894. They are both buried at the Harris Cemetery, formally the Odneal Cemetery, near Harris, Sullivan Co., MO. A relative did not find Joel in an 1850 or 1860 census in MO or IN.
Joel and Elizabeth's son, Anderson was my g'grandfather.
Anderson was born Nov. 26, 1859 in MO. In 1883 he married Minnie D. Covey. Minnie was born May 22, 1866 in Middlebury, MO, the daughter of William and Philadelphia Covey. In the 1900 Mercer Co. They are buried in the cemetary in Princeton, MO.
