John Blake's will

In the name of God, Amen.I John Blake(X) being sick and weak of body but in perfect and sound sense and memory thanks to be the Almight God for the same, do make this my last will and Testament and manner and form to wit-
I lend my land and planations whereon I now live to my loving wife Mary during her natural life together with all my slaves and household furniture and stock of all kind and all and every partof my estate in whatsoever manner it lieth or may be found after discharining of my just debts.The remainder part of my whatsoever manner it lieth or may be found after discharging of my just debts.The remainder part of my estate after paying my debts as above directed constituting of land, slaves, stock, household and kitchen furniture remain in the hands of my aforesaid wife during her life and after the death of my said wife my will and children at her own discretion without control during her life and after the death of my said wife my will and discretion is that all remaining partof my estate consisting of land and slaves, stock and every part of the Estate be sold to the highest bidder by my Execators and equally divided amongst all my children hereafter to be name Exum, Stephenson, Lucy, John, Joshua (X), Mary and Dempsey to them and their heirs forever.
ItemI point my loving wife and Josiah Johnson and Stephenson Blake Executors of this my last Will and Testament disannulling all other wills by me made and do delcare this to be may last Will and Testament In Witness whereon I have to Set my hand and Seal this Eight day of September 1789

At a court held for the county of Southhampton the 20th day of December 1802 this will was proved by oaths of George Stephenson and Ethelred Blake two of the witnessess thereto and ordered to be recorded & on the motion of Humphrey Drewery for the administration with the will annexed.
