Jill, Your post has answered several questions for me! I had seen your posts re: slave ancestors, but had little of substance to add, other than Joshua's will. Thomas' will has validated much of my info; I am descended through his son John, grandson Joshua, grgrandson Green A.,grgreatgrandaughter Mary Lee. Your post, showing witnesses to the will, may have opened a possibility of ancestors for Joshua's wife, Charlotte Vaughn - one of my "brickwalls"! If you are interested I have more info on Green's descendants, and some on his brothers. I also have a photo of Green Blake's plantation in Richburg, SC, which was struck by lightening and burned in the 1970s, as well as his obituary from Pickens County, AL. Wish I had more info on your ancestor, but I would be happy to send you anything I might have. Congratulations on all you have found!
