Joanna Blake, the wife of Robert Sedgwick, was absolutely, positively the daughter of William Blake (w.d. 29 Apr 1641; bur. 13 Jun 1642, Pittminster) and Dorothy ___ (also left will). Somewhere around here waiting to be typed into the computer, I have both William's & Dorothy's wills, and they both specifically name a daughter Joanna Sedgwick and a son-in-law Robert Sedgwick.

There is, however, another William Blake with wife Ann or Agnes, who is running around England AND Massachusetts during this same approximate time period. Since this is not my line, I am not at all sure about them, but I think they came from Over Stowey (can't remember where I found this or which English county Over Stowey is in.

But on Robert Sedgwick's wife and inlaws, there is absolutely no room for doubt: William & Dorothy Sedgwick of Pittminster.
