I am working on a 1940 WPA list of soldiers buried in Lake County, Florida. The list has the following information:
HENRY J. BLAISDELL, G.A.R., 1837-1919, buried Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis. I have gleaned the following about a Henry J. Blaisdell, and hope someone might connect to tell me when he has born, etc. I have not found him in any census.
HENRY J. BLAISDELL, G.A.R., died September 12, 1895. He married Sarah A. (mnu). Henry served as a Private and First Sergeant in Company C, 4th Cavalry Regiment Pennsylvania (64th Volunteers). He received a Federal pension, filed for January 26, 1865, Cert #55764; his widow applied for a pension June 27, 1896, Cert #454429.
Burial reported in two different cemeteries: Woodlawn Cemetery Tampa, Hillsborough County and Florida National Cemetery Bushnell, Sumter County.
