Am still at a brick wall here with my gg grandfather john russell Blair, we seem to only get back as far as his marriage to margaret king Gibson in 1863, I would like to learn who his parents were, only other info is we know he had a brother named jacob and a sister named mary. and we know he was a grandson of a john Russell.
It is said that my gg grandfather john russell Blair was born in Northern NEW Brunswick,near the Bathurst,jacqet River area, he married in 1863 in Charlottle county. we have all the info from his time of marriage down to myself, it is before his marriage i would like to find info.
Others say james Blair married to margaret Daigle in Belledune N.B. is infact jacob Blair brother of john russell Blair, but for me this has not yet been proven. others say the brother jacob Blair married and settled in marysville N.B. but again i have no proff.
There back forget the year was a jacob Blair from Belledune who drowned along with a edward Doyle and a son of edward Doyles.
There is also a story that john russell Blair had twin syblings who drowned while crossing alake to pick up their father who was working on the otherside, again i can find no info on this.
I do have a picture of my gg grandfather john russell Blair and his brother jacob,the picture was taken about 1863.
I can not seem to get beyond the mariage of my gg grandparents john russell Blair & margaret king Gibson.
my grandfather joseph harold (harold) Russell born,june,13,1904 Belledune N.B. he said his brother james holmer (holmer) Russell use to work the railroad and when he did he stayed in McAdam N.B. at his cousin john fredick Blairs house, john fredrick Blair is the son of john russell Blair & margaret king Gibson. I canot find the conection to relate these Russells to these Blairs.
When i traced my grandfather joseph harold (harold) Russell born june,13,1904 Belledune N.B., son of robert Russell born abt 1857 baptized jan,5th,1857 Petit-Rocher N.B. & martha miriam Russell (Mathews) martha miriam Russell(Mathews) was daughter of william richard Mathwes and margaret Mathews (Blair) margaret Mathews (Blair) was daughter of james Blair and margaret Blair (Daigle).
when my g grandfather robert Russell died oct,13,1904 Belledune N.B. his widow martha miriam (miriam) Russell (Matthews) remarried in 1906 to john Russell son of samuel Russell 7 theresa Russell (Godin)
wow can get so confusing for i have Blair and Russell surname from both my parents!!
my grandmother was margaret elanor Blair born june,3,1907 McAdam N.B. later she legealy changed her middle name to king, her parents were john frederick Blair & mary ann Blair (Sherman) john frederick Blair was son of john russell Blair & margaret king Blair (Gibson)
