Hi Jean,
Well, you are the source for much of my information on this family, but I have a little bit more which I'll gladly share -- but its value is limited, since unfortunately I didn't keep track of where it came from.
According to what I have, anyway, Elizabeth Blair Gilmore Law died 16 Jan 1804.If you happen to know that this is incorrect, please let me know.
As far as her children, I had names for seven, basically the same as yours.Wherever these came from, the assumption was that Kelsey was the name of another child, making a total of seven. But it does make sense for one child to be named Hugh Kelsey, after his great-grandfather Hugh Kelso, or perhaps more likely after his uncle, Hugh Kelso Blair.
The only other difference is that you call one Jane, who I imagine is the same as the one called "Jennie."Jennie married a Daniel Patton on 17 Oct 1793, and what I wonder is:was that Jennie Patton who wrote the notable genealogy reference work, the History of the Somonauk United Presbyterian Church, their daughter, or what?
About the other Gilmore daughters: I'd like to know what happened to Sarah. Elizabeth married a Robert Law. Wish I knew more.
I'm always interested in hearing from anyone who's working ondescendents of Sarah and Hugh Kelso, who settled in Worcester MA around 1718.I had my mitochondrial DNA tested, and anyone descended (as I am, and Elizabeth Blair Gilmore Law, etc.) in a direct maternal line from that Sarah will have the same mtDNA type (called "I"), which is rare, going back to very ancient times in Europe.
