Hi Stephanie....
Here you go....this is what I have on Aaron K. and his father, Aaron...
Aaron Blair b: 5 April 1783, probably in PA.Aaron married Margaret
(sometimes listed as Martha) Kimble in 1808 in Lycoming Co., PA.They had 7 children:Ann (or Anna) b: 3 Sept 1811, Thomas b: 22 April 1815, d: 8 Oct 1886, Elizabeth (Betsy) b: 16 Feb 1817, Ruth b: 28 Jan 1819,
Peter b: 22 Apr 1822, John b: 14 Sept 1826 and Aaron Kimble b: 16 Feb 1829, d: 11 May 1889.
All of the children were born in Lycoming Co., PA.Aaron died while visiting his son, Thomas, in Center Twp., Williams Co., OH on 9 Oct 1846 and is buried in Williams Center Cemetery in the southeast corner. There is a stone marker, dated in the 1840's.Two of Aaron's sons,Thomas and Peter, are buried in the same plot.
Aaron K. married Nancy Hanna Henrietta Eyler/Eiler (known as Hanna) on 30 March 1853. Information passed down in the family indicates she was born in PA.Her father was William Mervis. She died 23 Oct 1890 and is
buried, along with Aaron K., in Lost Creek Cemetery in Defiance Co.,OH.Their daughter, Etta, is also buried there. There are stone
markers at the gravesites.
The 8 children from the marriage of Aaron K. and Hanna:
Emelia Armentha b: 19 Oct 1854, died 19 March 1855.Levi J.M. was born
23 May 1857, d: 8 Feb 1919. He married Mary M. Meek on 31 Dec 1880 in Defiance Co., OH.Ida Sarah Jane b: 22 Apr 1859, d: 27 Apr 1948. She married George A. Bassett on 3 July 1881 in Defiance Co., OH and lived in Auburn, Indiana after her marriage.Aaron Eugene Blair b: 1 Aug 1861, d: 12 Sept 1935.William Mervis b: 11 Oct 1863, d: 30 Apr 1912. Dora Isabell b: 30 Dec 1865, d: 29 Mar 1875.Etta b: 20 Jun 1868, d: 26 Apr 1886.Everard Handerson b: 9 Aug 1874 in Mark Center, Defiance Co.,OH, d: 24 Jan 1951 and is buried in St. Patricks Cemetery, Danville, IL.
Aaron K. and Hanna lived near Danville in Vermillion Co., Illinois at
some time during their marriage...probably in the early 1880's before
returning to Defiance Co., OH.Aaron K. is on the 1860 Federal Census in Farmer Twp., Defiance Co., OH.
Stephanie, how much info do you want?I have tons and tons of info on
my Blair line and I'd be happy to share.I have a biography of Aaron
K's brother, Thomas, written in 1880 in Williams Co., OH.I'm trying to figure out who Aaron's father and mother were.I know his family came to PA from Sussex Co., N.J....Knowlton Twp., I believe. There is a Levi Blair on the 1810 Lycoming Co. census and I have a hunch that may be his father.Levi is a name carried down through a couple more generations.
There are several Blairs I've found on the census in Lycoming Co. but haven't been able to sort them all out as to who they are and how they are related. I also have next to nothing on Aaron K's wife, Nancy Hanna
Henrietta Eyler/Eiler.Do you know anything else about her?
