Hi Caroline,
Apologies for taking so long to reply. It is some years since we last looked into the Blaggs but having had a look through our folders, can find no Thomas Blagg born 1888 in Worksop. However, our Blagg family were from nearby Retford and surrounding area, and as there were many large families including several sons, there is a fair chance of some connection. The census records for 1891 shows a Tom Blagg aged 2 living in Worksop with his aunt and uncle (John 30 and Mary 28)where his birthplace was given as Worksop. The census record for 1901 then shows Tom aged 12 still in Worksop with his parents (Thomas 37 and Hannah 36) and younger siblings.
Hope this is useful in your research.
Anne Brailsford
