This is so very interesting to me. I am related to Margaret Blades, the daughter of Luke Blades (b. abt 1754), who married Burrel Banister. His son William Banister, his son Lawrence Banister. His son, my grandfather Archie Monroe Banister, got into some trouble and changed his name to Mooney. I have always thought the Mooney name may be a family name. What else do you know about these Mooneys? My mother and her sibblings all went by the Mooney name. Lawrence Banister married a half indian girl named Mary Catherine Miller, whose Parents were John Miller born in Kentucky and Mary. I know Margaret had a brother named John Blades, who was a Baptist minister. He was born 1775 in Carolina, and married Mary(Eleanor) Stuckey. He died in 1841. He had 10 Children but I don't have all their names . I have 1. Jane md Aug 21,1817 Franklin Co, Indiana, James Hackelman 2. Isacc md Patsey Hackelman, and 3. Elizabeth who married George Windship in Rush Co, Indiana.
