Your Luke Blades born abt 1754 in Ableville, N. Carolina. married Catherine Osborn, the daughter of Thomas Osborn and Elizabeth Simpson. Others say Catherine was a Sailors, born 1750 Penn, and died in Jackson Co, Indiana, abt.1857 (age 102). I have heard the story of lope-earred Luke captured by Indians, and escaped 3 years later. Why are you so sure it never happened? His children were:
