Proof of Eli Blades marriage to Dorothy Evans can be found In Marriage Bonds of Woodford CO, KY 1789-1860. The bond was signed by Eli Blades and Thomas Evans.
No proof of Dorothy's death but Eli did return to Worcester CO MD to marry Sarah (Watson) Pilchard, widow of Stephen Pope Pilchard, who lost his life at sea. This marriage took place 1 September 1812.
Genealogical Abstracts of Revolutionary Pensions by Virgil White, Volume 1, page 283 lists Eli Blades and Sarah Blades in Scott CO IN where Eli died about 1852.
Eli who m Sarah Watson Pilchard was the s/o Jehu and Sarah Burnett Blades of Worcester CO, MD.
There is an Eli Blades who married Margaret Banning in Dorcester CO, MD in 1814. From these dates and the Rev. Pension facts, it appears that there are two different men named Eli. Very few of the Worcester CO Blades left records in Dorcester CO, MD.
