I sure am glad I found your post. Hope you are still working on this. Gilly/Gillie wife of William Davis is my husbands Great Grand Aunt. I finally found the information that she re-married Ranson Blades in 1863. As far as William Davis goes, the only info I have is from the 1850 census that shows he was born in North Carolina. I am going to see if I can get his Civil War records. They may have some information on them.
If you want information on Gilly I have some of that, well most of her family as her father was my husbands gggrandfather.
