Hi Nicola,
Paul Williams here, my gg grandfather James Blades was born in Dent, 20 miles from Bainbrige in 1850. I am struggling to link him to the 4-5 main Blades families who originated in the Sedbusk/Hardraw/High Shaw farms and estates about 5 miles from Bainbridge, so no news yet. However, you might check out the postings by Shana on the Blades site: her relatives came from West Burton, some 5 miles from Bainbridge, and the close proximity has got to increase the chance of lineage !
