Linda,

Hello, it's me.............I sent you the information about my ggg-grandparents William E. and Florina Peterson Gibson.

William E. and Florina "Floranna" Gibson married on 4 Jul 1837 in Shelby Co., Tennessee.

Some of the information you added is not correct and I thought you may want to know that.
I have lived in Craighead County all but a few years of my life. I lived with my grandmother who's maiden name was Gibson as I was growing up. Her father was Burris/Burse Gibson. It says Burris on his tombstone. I am not exactly sure if that is how he spelled it though.

David Euphrates "Frate" Gibson was born 16 Jun 1957. He is buried in Herman Cemetery in Craighead County, Arkansas. He married Amanda "Mandy" Elizabeth Hankins and they lived in Craighead County, Arkansas until the rest of their lives. Amanda is buried in Herman Cemetery also.
Their children were...
Daisy Isabel Gibson
Burris N. Gibson married Anna May Handcock
Ann Gibson
Murtle Gibson
Oll Lee Gibson married Nannie Peek
Cora Gibson
William David Gibson married Mabel Clair Cole

I am in touch with an offspring of James Matilda Gibson, daughter of William E. and Florina Gibson. She has been researching the family for many years. She was stuck in the same place I was (with William and Florina) until we got the accurate information about a week ago on their marriage in Shelby Co., Tennessee. That is how I found out the Peterson name and found you. James Matilda Gibson was listed as a male on the 1860 Census and I am thinking that Peter listed on the 1860 Census is Malinda and that Peter is her other name and that she mistakenly listed as a male on that Census also.
The age fits Malinda and she is no where to be found on the 1850 or the 1860 Census. If Peter is not her I do not know where she is during that time. General is the first name of Francis McCracken, not a title.

Thank you for all of your help. I hope we make leaps and bounds in this family search.
I would love to find out much more about the Gibson's, Peterson's and Blackwood's.

Kathie
