Now that I have had a proper look, Pinkstan's occupation is given as "Surgeon in North Down Militia".
In 1861 he was living at 3, Sebastopol Terrace in Seaham Harbour, and was then 45 (or so he said, Elizabeth was 29). The person who wrote this down didn't include where John was born, but if you have access to the Census you could easily check. She also wrote that neither John nor Elizabeth were there in 1871.As John and Elizabeth's first son was called Francis Hamilton Blackwood (born 1857), it certainly looks as if there is a connection with those buried in Killyleagh Church. How interesting!
