Would like to follow up Van's challenge by adding the following line to the group.
4. Descendants of Joel Blackwell b. ca 1738 and wives 1. Henrietta Byars 2. Rebecca Watkins. He was living in Rutherford Co. NC at the time of his death. Known sons - John Byars, James, Charles,Joel, Peter, Daniel.
Only one known descendant has tested - direct line of Peter.
We need another descendant of another son to test.
Also, his known brother Isaiah had sons. A test from that group would benefit greatly as well.
