Soon it will be a New Year, and with it will come new challenges for all of us conducting research on the Blackwell family. Even though the economy is getting somewhat rough, I would like to put out the call for more people to take part in the Blackwell DNA Project. We are still seeking people from the following three lines to take part in the project:
1. Descendants of Robert Blackwell and his wife Zillah Rice who lived in Caswell Co., NC at the time of their death.
2. Descendants of Robert Blackwell and his wife Elizabeth Russell who were living in Halifax Co., VA at the time of their death.
3. Descendants of John Blackwell and his wife Frances Pomfret who lived in Granville Co., NC at the time of their death.
Even if you are not from one of these groups, I would still like to ask that you take part in the Project. You can view the current results at www.familytreedna.com/public/Blackwell. You may also contact the Group Administrator, David Blackwell at blackwellsisland@aol.com. I am also available to answer any questions you might have.
