Martha Blackwelder married George F. Petrey in Upson County, Georgia on 15 July 1832. She was a daughter of Jacob Blackwelder and Elizabeth Suther(?), who were from Cabarrus County, North Carolina and were married there about 1810. Jacob Blackwelder was a grandson of John Adam Blackwelder (#4 in my Blackwelder database at http://arslanmb.org/blackwelder/blackwelder.html). What is your connection to Martha (Blackwelder) Petrey?

John Adam Blackwelder was my 5th-great-grandfather. Martha's father Jacob Blackwelder (#433) was a 1st-cousin to my 3rd-great-grandfather Jacob Blackwelder Shaver.
