Glad to help. I am a descendant of Caleb and Betsey as well. However, Rachel Blackwelder that married Daniel Karraker (originally Karcher) was not the daughter of Caleb and Betsey. Caleb and Betsey had a son Jacob (1763-1836), and HIS daughter Rachel (1794-1881) married Daniel Karraker in 1818 & then moved to Illinois. Cabarrus County Marriage records verify their marriage, and Hinkle Cemetery records from Union County IL verify their dates of birth and death as well as many of their children. I may have further info, if you tell me which of their children you are descended from. Although I live in NC, I did some research in Il in 2001 and got a lot of info there.

Caleb and Betsy were both old when they died in 1794, well past the age of having children. They did have a daughter named Rachel (1772-1831) but she married John Henry Cress. Glad to give you any further info. Feel free to email me direct at grillsfamily@earthlink.net --Susan
