Seeking help with DAR info

I would love to become a memeber of the DAR and I am not sure of where to start. I am a decendant of Betsy and Caleb Blackwelder's daughter Rachel Blackwelder married to Daniel Karriker/Cariker m 5-19-1818 in Union Co Illinois.

I have surnames, but I dont have much as marriage certificates or birth certifcates. I do have some census records, but I would like to have additional records

Any help as to where to start, who to write to get these would be greatly appreciated.
