Paul, I can find no mention of a "Jacob Blackwelder" or an "Elizabeth Suther"
who removed from Cabarrus Co. to Alabama in the book I have. However, I am a descentant from a Jacob Blackwelder br. 1779, son of Isaac Blackwelder br. 1757 in Va. Jacob married SOPHRONIA GRONER, 1802 and this union produced my GG - Grandfather Hugh (there are many mysteries about Hugh). As far as I know, this branch of my family has remained in NC ever since the late 17th Cent. As far as the book "Blackwelder and Allied Families", I have a copy of a copy. I don't know where you can find one. I believe the author went to his reward many years ago. Hope this helps
