The R. D. Blackstone that you found supplying boats for the Cherokee Removal was my GGgrandfather, Robert Dean Blackstone. He was from Monroe Co., TN area and perhaps was also around McMinn Co., TN. Father is unknown, but mother's name was Joice (Joicy) and she lived in New Philadelphia, Monroe Co, TN. There were two brothers, Thomas and George W. and two sisters, Mary and the name of the other is unknown. Have lots of information on this man and his descendants, just can't go back from him. Any helpfrom anyone???
