Six long years since this post. Hope you receive this message.
I am trying to locate parents of John BLACKISTON born Guernsey co., OH 1845, died CA 1905. The 1850 OH census, Middletown, Guernsey, lists a John Blackiston, age 8 b. OH living with family of Ezekiel Peek. Also, in 1850 Guernsey Co., OH (Middletown) is listed families of Wim. L. Blackiston, b. OH, age 30 and Ebenezer Blackiston, age 38 b. OH.
Can you tell me if John was a son of either William or Ebenezer and if so, why is he farmed out to another family?
