While searching Maryland archives for my ancestors I kept coming across the surname "BLACKISTONE", which I had never seen before. Not sure if this info. can be helpful for those of you up against a "brick wall" but perhaps some of your ancestors dropped the "i".
Just a thought. Here is a link to Maryland search engine which produced over 600 hits for "BLACKISTONE".
