As a member of the 'Guild of One Name Studies', I received this message from the chairman: "We've been approached by Jo Walker at Granada Television:- I work for the specialist development team at Granada Television and I am currently developing a programme proposal about The Most Amazing Names in Britain and I am looking for surnames that have amazing historical stories to tell - the surname maybe 900 years old, one descendent may have been part of the aristocracy, one may have worked as a farm hand, the current holder of the surname may even be 2,000th in line to the throne, be the oldest surviving surname, last survivor of that surname - any surname with a wonderful and truly amazing history is what we are looking for." I took a liberty and replied with a link to my website. I think that this surname fills all their criteria. We'll have to see if we get any follow up. I'll keep you all informed, Chris Notify Administrator about this message?
