I don't know if this is anything helpful to you, but if your Samuel was living in NE in 1860, then I found a listing in Burt Co. Omaha for these Blackstones:
Alex Blackstone
Charles Blackstone
Dianthe Blackstone
Edward Blackstone
Hannah Blackstone
Joshua Blackstone
M.J. Blackstone
Nathan Blackstone
Sam Blackstone

I realize you are looking for descendants of Samuel,but I thought that you might like to know that they were all listed on a NE census
in 1860. Hope this is helpful in some way.
