Laura Elizabeth Blackstock, b. 07 Jan 1876, was the daughter of Jasper (or Japhett) B. Blackstock and married William D. Blackstock (b. 16 Jan 1862) and left six children when she died in 1906.

The first born was Anderson "Hap" Arrowood, b. 07 Jan 1895, who married Josie Wilkey.
Second was Wilburn "Red" Arrowood, b. 19 Jan 1897, who married Cleda Cook.
Third was Edda May Arrowood, b. 03 May 1898, who married Walter Baker.
Fourth was Bessie Arrowood, b 30 Dec 1900, who married Frank Insall.
Fifth was Dee Arrowood, b. 19 Sep 1902, who married Eloise Parnell.
Sixth and last child was Alice Arrowood, b. 15 Aug 1904, who married Elmer Hill Poe.

W. D. Arrowood and his wife, Laura Elizabeth Blackstock Arrowood are buried in Payne Gap Cemetery, Mills County, TX. (Just off State Highway between Moline and Goldthwaite, TX.)

Thought I had better set the record straight about the number of children belonging to Laura Elizabeth Blackstock and William D. Arrowood. I know that Laura Elizabeth had two miscarriages, the last one at the time of her death. Her youngest child, Alice, only two years of age, was taken into the home of her aunt Lu Black for a while but later returned to the family. We own the W. D. Arrowood homestead and it will soon be in the family and actively farmed for 100 years.
