I do not know if we have a connection but an old letter states that my Hannah Jane Blackmer married a William J. Sweet in Michigan, probably about 1834. I don't know where in Michigan though. William and Hannah were both supposedly born in New York. They had 10 to 12 children. Does any of this ring a bell?
