I just got back from a three week vacation and have not even begun to "unbury" myself emails etc. But, I would like to pass along to Doris, I received a copy of Fred (Alfred) Blackmer's (our grandfather) death certificate that I had ordered before I left. Quoting from the certificate, Fred's father was Myram A. Blackmer from New York and his mother was Caroline Pettit also from New York. I can't remember where that stands from what I have learned before, but the father's name does not seem to agree from what I have found out. I was working on two family names at the same time and it gets a bit confusing. During the next few days, I will send the certificate to Doris and try to get back on some sort of track with my research.

Jerry
