In my notes, I found the following reference in the 1860 Michigan Federal Census for Wayne County (p. 284)--Livonia:

Lester Blackmar, 52, NY
Marcelia Blackmar, 49, VT
H. {female} Blackmar, 16, NY
John Blackmar, 14, MI

This probably won't help much, but it might give you a little information that you might not have had.
