Shirley:

Message #2- Thos Blacklock Sr born 1716 Prince Geo County, Ma and die d 1790 Prince Geo married 1738 Prince Ge to Charity Lanham born 1718 Md and died ca 1781 sau of Richard Lanham (1694-1750) and Winifred Jenkins.
thos and Charity had 7 known children one being Ann Blacklock (1748-ca 1814) -my 4th gt grandmother and she married Nicholas Miles.

the Blacklock line , in America, goes back about 4 more generation to thos Blacklock born 1597 in Cumberland, England and died ca 1680 in Virginia. The Blacklock's are from Scotland and our family traditions says that the name was originally spelled with the last K (Blackloc)

The Lanham line goes back in time to Josias Lanham (1600-1633) born in Wortham , England and died in England. His grandson Josias Lanham born ca 1652 in England and he came to America date unknown to me. But he married Barbara Ringgold in 1686 Kent county, Md.

that is the basic info I have. should you want more details send me direct your mailing address so I can make copies and mail to you.

Ta Ta for now...Pax Vobiscum (Peace be with you)...Chas of Tucson
